K. Keely Boyle, MD  |  Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. K. Keely Boyle is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in lower extremity joint replacement and reconstruction. This includes hip and knee replacement, two of the most successful surgeries created, which predictably restore motion, movement, and alleviate pain.

In addition to studying at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Dr. K. Keely Boyle received fellowship training for adult reconstruction and joint replacement at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City — the No. 1-ranked orthopaedics hospital in the country for 11 straight years by U.S. News & World Report — where she became Chief Fellow.

Currently, Dr. Boyle is a staff member of UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine while also serving as Clinical Assistant Professor of orthopaedics at UB Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Boyle believes being diligently involved in educating residents and fellows encourages an environment of perpetual learning, curiosity, and innovations, which can ultimately translate into improved care pathways and better patient outcomes.

An active member of the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. K. Keely Boyle has served on the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement committee. Her many awards and honors include the Kenneth A. Krackow Award for Outstanding Research and Clinician Scientist, the Peter A. Casagrande Award for Outstanding Performance in Orthopaedic Surgery as well as the Philip D. Wilson Award for Outstanding Research in Orthopedics at Hospital for Special Surgery.

Dr. K. Keely Boyle has coauthored numerous journal articles on topics related to orthopaedic surgery and research.
