Dr. Andrew P. Stegemann joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery as a fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements, including complex and revision cases.  Dr. Andrew Stegemann values his role as a physician, surgeon, and educator.  He believes in the importance of continued education and embraces evolution within the field of orthopaedic surgery.  He keeps up to date on developments within his specialty and offers his patients the most advanced treatment options by staying current with the published literature, engaging in his own research endeavors, and actively participating in the education of residents and fellows.

It is Dr. Andrew Stegemann’s goal to provide exceptional patient care and he believes this starts with listening.  Each patient is unique. He reviews x-rays with his patients and spends time ensuring they understand their diagnosis and treatment options.  He values an interactive patient-physician discussion centered on treatment goals and expectations.  With this shared decision-making approach, the treatment plan is created together with the patient.  It is Dr. Andrew Stegemann’s hope that this philosophy allows his patients to feel involved in their care, whether that be through physical therapy, injections, other conservative measures or a joint replacement.
