WILLIAM DICE, MD  |  Attending Physician

Dr. William Dice is an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at ECMC.

Through his career in the United States Army, he gained deep expertise across toxicology, public health emergency planning and response, and medical care during extreme events. His various postings and responsibilities include: Brigade Surgeon in the 4th Infantry Division, Program Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, Commanding Surgeon of Joint Special Operations Command, Deputy Director of Emergency Planning in the Office of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, The Pentagon, and Commander of the 5th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital.

Dr. William Dice served as the Department of Defense liaison to Emergency Support Function 8 following Hurricane Andrew, supported combat operations in Grenada and Panama, and led a Forward Surgical Team to Haiti.
