How do I apply for a job at ECMC?

All applications must be submitted online.

How do I know if my application was received?

After hitting the submit button, you will be taken to a landing page with the confirmation message: You have successfully completed your application. 

How can I check the status of my application?

Due to the high volume of applications received, we cannot comment on status. If we need additional information or to set up an interview, one of our recruiters will be in touch.

What if I forgot my password?

Your password can be changed by hitting the “Forgot Password” button and following the prompts.

What if I cannot get my application to show up on my screen when trying to apply?

Please be sure to turn off your pop-up blocker to access the application.

What if I don’t have an email address?

If you choose not to sign up for an email address through a free service such as Yahoo! or Google, but still wish to apply, enter your email as yourname@noemail.com. (for instance, johndoe@noemail.com)

How do I apply if I don’t have a home computer?

The HR Experience Center, located on the ground floor of the Main Hospital, is open Monday through Friday from 8am – 4pm and is prepared to assist applicants and equipped with computers for public use. Internet-equipped computers are available at local libraries and one-stop career centers.

How often are jobs posted?

Jobs are posted daily, so check back often to see updated postings.

I had an interview, what happens next?

You will be contacted by a recruiter regarding next steps. The recruiter who interviewed you will be your primary contact.

If selected for employment, will I have to go for a physical exam?

If you’re selected for employment, you will have to successfully complete our full pre-employment process, which includes but is not limited to: physical, drug and alcohol screening; criminal background check; reference check; submission of transcripts; submission of vaccination records; and completion of new hire paperwork.

Some positions on your website mention a Civil Service List, what does this mean?

All positions at ECMC fall under New York State Civil Service Law. Most of our positions require a Civil Service Exam prior to or during appointment.
