Who is Eligible for Employer Provided Benefits?

Full Time (FT) and Regular Part Time (RPT) employees are eligible for medical insurance, dental insurance, and flexible spending accounts. New employees must enroll in benefits within the first 30 days from the date of hire. If the deadline is missed, an employee will have an opportunity to enroll in benefits during the next annual Open Enrollment period or if they experience a Life Qualifying Event.

  3. Add/Drop Medical, Waiver Cash payment, or Dental Insurance Coverage

How to Make Changes:

  1. All 2025 Open Enrollment Changes or updates will be processed through UKG Pro Employee Self Service.  You will find the UKG Pro Benefits Open Enrollment Guide with instructions on how to make changes or update to your benefits here: UKG Pro Benefits Open Enrollment Guide
  2. Gather supporting documentation if you are adding medical or dental coverage for a dependent.
  3. All benefit changes and updates through UKG Pro Employee Self Service and supporting documentation must be submitted by Friday, November 22, 2024.

What’s New in 2025

Medical Insurance Updates

Effective January 1st, 2025, our medical provider will be Univera Healthcare. There will be NO medical benefit changes or prescription changes with this provider change. Univera Healthcare is accepted by 99% of physicians and 100% of hospitals across the 39 Upstate NY counties. Please make sure ECMC has your current address. This can be updated in UKG Pro by going to Myself > Personal > Name, Address, and Telephone then select Edit to update incorrect information. All employees will receive new Univera medical and pharmacy insurance cards in the mail for the 2025 plan year. Be sure to bring your new Univera Card with you to your doctor’s appointments in the 2025 calendar year.

Medical and Dental Premiums

The Emblem Health dental premiums did not change.   The medical premiums for 2025 did change and the applicable rates are provided on the ECMC Intranet under Human Resources.  The CSEA EBF premiums for CSEA employees are also provided on the ECMC Intranet under Human Resources.

Dental Insurance Updates

ATTENTION CSEA MEMBERS

For those enrolled or expecting to enroll in the CSEA EBF dental plan, the CSEA EBF dental rates for single and family coverage will increase effective 7/1/2025. Please be sure to view the CSEA EBF dental rate information as it becomes available.

Emblem Health will remain the dental provider for all AFSCME, NYSNA and MC employees.

Flexible Spending Accounts

The IRS determines how much individuals are able to contribute to flexible spending accounts each year. The 2025 limits for the Medical Flexible Spending account will increase from $2,850 to $3,200. The limits for both Dependent Care Flexible Spending and Individual Premium Reimbursement Accounts will remain at $5,000.

457(b) Maximum Contribution Limits

The IRS limits how much employees can contribute to the 457(b) plans each year. The 2025 limits will be provided upon issuance by the IRS.
