At ECMC, we recognize the special role that nurses play in bringing patients dedicated, compassionate care and increasing chances of positive patient outcomes. Our Critical Care department nursing staff consists exclusively of RNs, while our Emergency Department is made up of RNs and LPNs, with nearly 95% being RNs. Our emphasis on education and training allows ECMC nurses to develop their skills and medical interests with confidence in a variety of settings—and encourages them to grow their career with compassion and caring.
Finally, as a teaching hospital, we recognize our responsibility to the community to prepare tomorrow’s nurses to care for patients and families. We are proud to participate wholeheartedly in the training of nursing students to meet this obligation, and acknowledge our responsibility to monitor the quality of care delivered.
