At ECMC, we recognize the special role that nurses play in bringing patients dedicated, compassionate care and increasing chances of positive patient outcomes. Our Critical Care department nursing staff consists exclusively of RNs, while our Emergency Department is made up of RNs and LPNs, with nearly 95% being RNs. Our medical and surgical areas have a 75% RN presence. We also look to use full-time nursing staff to ensure continuity of care—approximately 80% of our staff are full-time employees, though part-time and per diem positions are also available to offer flexibility.
