Every year, our team of doctors, nurses, specialists, and staff save hundreds of patients—people who have been critically injured by an accident, violence, or a severe medical issue. Often arriving by helicopter, these critical patients are treated immediately by a specialized medical team. Recently verified as a Level 1 Trauma Care Center by the American College of Surgeons, ECMC has an unwavering commitment to incredible care, because the medical emergencies we face every day demand nothing less.
ECMC also offers The Roger W. Seibel, MD, Burn Treatment Center, the only unit of its kind in Western New York with 24/7 burn care provided by a specialized team. This care is enhanced with extensive rehabilitation programs and comprehensive psychosocial support. The Roger W. Seibel, MD, Burn Treatment Center is an integral part of ECMC’s trauma care services.
