- Pulmonary function testing
- Bronchoprovocation testing (for diagnosing asthma by measuring the airway hyper-responsiveness)
- Six-minute walk
- Arterial blood gas
- Lung cancer screening program for smokers

- Pulmonary vascular disease
- Interstitial lung disease (name for a large group of diseases that inflame or scar the lungs, which make it difficult to get enough oxygen)
- Sarcoidosis (inflammatory disease that can affect multiple areas of the body, including the lungs, eyes, skin, and in some cases, the heart)
- Sleep apnea and other sleep disorders
