For children, families, and seniors, it’s important to establish a relationship with a family medicine physician. Having this relationship gives you access to a single centralized source of preventive care, annual well checks, and the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of health issues.
Family medicine physicians can also refer patients to other doctors for follow-up care, while staying informed of any specialty care that may be needed. ECMC offers family medicine services at two facilities, the Grider Family Health Center and the ECMC Family Health Center.

The Primary Care Physicians at ECMC’s Family Medicine Centers are equipped to treat acute illnesses and injuries, including:

- Abdominal pain
- Bladder infections
- Minor muscle and bone injuries

Located on the third floor of the Ambulatory Center building, ECMC’s Grider Family Health Center is a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home serving adults, children, and the elderly.
At Grider Family Health Center, we work collaboratively with our patients to offer proactive, team-based-care that serves their best interests with flexible appointment scheduling and expert care teams. The Grider Family Health Center—making better health possible for our community.
ECMC Family Health Center
The ECMC Family Health Center is a Patient Centered Medical Home Level 3 Certified Center, offering access to a diverse group of physicians for primary care and family medicine. Here, families have easy access to a variety of family physicians. .
The ECMC Family Health Center offers an on-site lab facility, flexible scheduling (including evening appointments), and our doctors are on call 24 hours a day. Our patients can always speak to a nurse by phone during business hours to discuss any health questions or concerns.
