Joe Brindisi is a Family Nurse Practitioner for ECMC’s Hepatology/GI Services, where he cares for patients facing conditions of the liver, general GI conditions, and addiction disorders. He also served as a Family Nurse Practitioner in ECMC’s Internal Medicine Center. Joseph Brindisi has over 24 years of nursing experience having worked in the Emergency Department (ED), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as a Registered Nurse.
He is an experienced educator who has been a mentor for both nurses and nurse practioners alike. He was an adjunct nursing professor at D’Youville College in Buffalo NY and Newark Wayne BOCES in Newark NY. He was a Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor for the VA at both the Rochester VA clinic and Buffalo VA Hospital. He also served as a clinical nurse leader in the vent unit at the Buffalo VA.
Joseph Brindisi is also a retired Major having serve in both the United States Army Reserve and the United States Airforce Reserve. Throughout his 20-year career in the military, Joseph Brindisi, FNP, served as an ICU nurse for the Army and a flight nurse and clinic nurse for the Airforce. He deployed twice for Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom caring for critically Injured US/Allied soldiers.
