Dr. Philip Stegemann is the chief of orthopaedics at ECMC, where he focuses on non-surgical orthopaedic care. In this role, he brings his insights as a former surgeon, with experience in total shoulder replacement, rotator cuff repair, shoulder reconstruction, general orthopaedics, and trauma. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, his approach emphasizes personalized attention to diagnosis, decision making, treatment, and surgical referrals.
A staff member of UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Dr. Philip Stegemann is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He is proud to have taught and mentored over 100 residents and countless medical students and allied health professionals.
In addition to research into his specialty of shoulder surgery, he is also a frequent presenter on orthopaedic trauma, injuries of the shoulder and humerus, and management of common injuries.
