Renoj Varughese, MD  |  Attending Physician

Dr. Renoj Varughese is an attending physician in the emergency department at ECMC. He also serves as an assistant medical director of American Medical Response WNY. Dr. Varughese is a Clinical Instructor of Emergency Medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. Varughese is very involved in the EMS response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He helped create local protocols for EMS and participated in the local EMS taskforce. Dr. Varughese also helped launch ECMC’s Virtual ER.

Dr. Varughese is also the Telemedicine Director of Buffalo MATTERS. He manages telemedicine projects that help initiate medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder to those unable to get to such services.
