Biography

Dr. Cheng is the Neurology Chief of Service at ECMC, and an epileptologist dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients with epilepsy. He is also dedicated to finding treatments for different neurological disorders through collaboration, open-mindedness, and knowledge translation. Before arriving at ECMC, Dr. Cheng served in a multitude of roles—including clinical instructor, physiotherapist, and professional practice leader—within the Toronto Rehab Institute in Toronto, Ontario; and worked as a physical therapist with central New York’s Samaritan Medical Center. A graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada (West Indies), he has been a clinical instructor for the neurology module of the clinical practice of medicine at the University at Buffalo and for physical therapy students at Toronto Rehab. Dr. Cheng’s current areas of expertise include electroencephalography (EEG) interpretation.
