Biography

Hanna Algattas, MD  |  Neurosurgeon

Dr. Hanna Algattas is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University at Buffalo Medical School, specializing in complex open and endoscopic treatments for skull base and pituitary diseases, neuro-oncology, and minimally invasive cranial surgery.  He also focuses on neurotrauma, degenerative spine disease, traumatic brain/spinal cord injury, and concussions.  Dr. Algattas completed his undergraduate degree in Cellular Neuroscience at Colgate University, earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester, and completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  He further honed his expertise with fellowships in skull base surgery and sports neurosurgery.  Dr. Algattas was awarded the inaugural Aequanimitas Award for his humility, compassion, and excellent patient care.  He joined the ECMC team in 2023 and continues to make significant contributions to the field of neurosurgery.
