Biography

Dr. Michael Manka is President of the ECMC Medical Executive Committee, Immediate Past Chief of Emergency Medicine, and currently an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at ECMC.

Along with overseeing the emergency department at ECMC, he has been a member of the medical admissions committee at SUNY Buffalo and an oral board examinder for the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Michael Manka’s research interests are focused on the assessment of trauma patients using ultrasonography as well as emergency medicine administrative issues, including quality improvement, patient flow, and patient satisfaction.

He has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the ECMC Foundation’s Distinguished Physician honor and the Seigel Award for Excellence in Teaching.
