Biography

Navpreet Rana, DO, MSc

Dr. Navpreet Rana serves patients at ECMC’s Center for Gastroenterology Care. After graduating from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Rana completed her general surgery internship at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital and her internal medicine residency at the University at Buffalo.  At Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, she was the recipient of the second place Best Presentation Award in their Resident Research Symposium.  During her residency at the University at Buffalo, she was Chief Resident, Wellness, and she received the Philip Goldstein, MD, Memorial Award.  Dr. Rana went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University at Buffalo. She is currently board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Dr. Rana has contributed to numerous publications and research efforts.

After her undergraduate studies, she completed her Masters in Biochemistry at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

She also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Faculty for the University at Buffalo’s Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Fellowship Program.
