Biography
Dr. Raphael Blochle is an attending surgeon and director of the Wound Care Center at ECMC, treating patients from a number of medical service areas. In addition, he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where he also completed his fellowship in vascular surgery and residency in general surgery. Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and German, Dr. Raphael Blochle is certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery in both general surgery and vascular surgery, and sees patients in our outpatient surgery clinic. His research interests include the use of machine perfusion in organ preservation.
