Biography
Dr. Shirley S. Chang is a leading member of the nephrology clinical staff at ECMC’s Regional Center of Excellence for Transplantation and Kidney Care. Dr. Chang is board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine and is a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology. Her other professional memberships include the American Medical Association, International Society of Nephrology, American College of Physicians, American Society of Transplantation, and National Kidney Foundation. Dr. Chang is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Nephrology Department at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences where she is also the Director of the Transplant Nephrology Fellowship Program. Previously, Dr. Chang has been an assistant professor at the University of Vermont and State University of New York, Brooklyn. Dr. Chang has research interests in kidney transplantation, and cardiovascular disease. She is well-published in medical journals and abstracts.
