Biography

Dr. Vacanti is an attending cardiologist at the ECMC Center for Cardiovascular care where he serves as the director of Echocardiography and the Noninvasive Lab. Dr. Vacanti’s areas of specialty include general and preventative cardiology, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, cardiac rhythm abnormalities and valvular heart disease. He is also interested in noninvasive cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT.

Board certified with over nine years of clinical experience, Dr. Vacanti is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Vacanti graduated from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo with Thesis Honors. He also completed his internal medicine residency in addition to cardiovascular diseases fellowship at UB. Prior to medical school, Dr. Vacanti received a master’s degree in biochemistry and undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences with concentration in physiology and minor in computer science.
