EJ Meyer School of Nursing Alumni
Before ECMC, it was Edward J. Meyer Memorial Hospital. We honor and value the work that the dedicated nursing staff did from 1939-1978. Named for the first President of City Hospital’s Board of Manager, Dr. Edward J. Meyer, this is where the city’s first blood bank was housed and the first to perform open heart surgery in the community. We hope the nursing alumni of the hospital can look upon ECMC today and be proud ofour past, our present and our path for the future.
