As part of our corporate governance structure, ECMC’s board of directors is comprised of 15 voting directors, drawn from industries and roles across Western New York.

Of these directors, eight are appointed by the Governor of New York – via the recommendations of the County Executive (3), County Legislature (3), the Temporary President of the NYS Senate and (1) the Speaker of the NYS Assembly (1) – and seven are appointed by the County Executive with the advice and consent of the Erie County legislature.

The board also includes four non-voting directors.

Together, this board maximizes our impact, oversees optimal and efficient use of our funding, and ensures ongoing community support.
