Daisy Nurse Leader Award Winners Donna Gatti, RN, Director, CPEP
Donna Gatti won the rst ever Nurse Leader Daisy Award
Donna Gatti, RN, Director, Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) was recently recognized with the DAISY Nurse Leader Award as a leader among leaders.
Donna shows the highest level of compassion and integrity in everything she does. She has a can-do spirit and she is never deterred. Donna embodies exactly what the J. Patrick Barnes family envisioned as a DAISY Nurse Leader. She is empowering, compassionate, trusting, passionate, respectful and ethical always.
The DAISY Award is a national recognition to honor the amazing work nurses do for patients and families every day. Nominations are submitted by patients or family members to
applaud the dedication and compassionate care of various nurses during the patient’s stay. Over the years, it has become evident that the environment created by nurse leaders is a strong factor in how direct care nurses take care of patients. These leaders are often not eligible for the DAISY Award in their organizations. However, they create a workplace where compassionate care thrives – and nurses deliver the quality care that DAISY celebrates. So, the DAISY Foundation introduced the DAISY Nurse Leader Award to recognize and honor these special leaders.
Congratulations Donna!
